Before Therapy Begins
What's the process to start therapy?
First Things First...
If you are interested in learning more about Meo Myo Therapy simply schedule a complimentary phone consultation. This phone call can be scheduled to answer your general myofunctional questions, discuss therapy goals, and determine if you or your child are a good candidate to move on to a paid initial oral facial functional evaluation.

Why do all Meo Myo clients need an initial evaluation prior to starting therapy? It is important to gather all the information needed to tailor a personalized therapy program specifically for you, your needs, and our goals.
Also, it is an opportunity to identify any barriers to successful therapy like breathing concerns, tethered oral tissues, orthodontic appliances that fill the needed tongue space, and negative oral habits like thumb or finger sucking. In some cases clients may need to be referred to other healthcare providers prior to beginning therapy.

If you are a parent seeking more information your child does not need to be present during our phone call. If you decide to jump forward to a paid oral facial functional evaluation please note your child must be present for the online skills assessment portion.
Initial Oral Facial Functional Evaluation
Before meeting online for our Initial Evaluation you will be sent intake paperwork and instructions for a few photos. The photos are simple and can be taken easily with your cell phone. Please complete all paperwork, finalize your invoice, and email the requested photos at least 48 hours before your reserved time. It is also a good idea to test your camera and microphone before our initial meeting. You can find instructions to test these in Practice Better.
If this evaluation is scheduled for your child, the child must be present for a functional assessment and a parent or guardian must also be present. We will meet in a video chat link in a secure electronic health platform called Practice Better.
At the end of the evaluation you will be presented with therapy options. Please bring a glass of water or other drink of your choice to our virtual evaluation.
An initial myofunctional evaluation report will be available to you within 72 hours in Practice Better. This report contains a description of myofunctional findings, therapy goals, and any referral recommendations.
